As a member of the British Commonwealth, Mauritius has retained the recourse to the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council in the UK as the highest Court of Appeal.
Mauritius has also signed bilateral Investment Promotion and Protection Agreements (IPPAs) with 18 countries and has Double Taxation Avoidance Treaties (DTAs) with 33 countries.
